Etkin Lab

Depression & Anxiety

Treating depression is unique to each person and the Etkin Lab at Stanford University offers a variety of treatment options. Our clinical studies include computer-based training and non-medication rTMS so that you can find a solution that fits your needs.

Our newest clinical study includes mapping and manipulating neural circuits to better understand the brain regions and causal brain pathways relevant in mood disorders.

Here's an overview of each study:

  • rTMS: If you've tried many anti-depressant medications to no avail or want a medication-free therapy, we suggest you find out more about our clinical study on rTMS, an FDA-approved treatment for depression that we're offering for free. More »
  • Computer-Based Training: If you're struggling with anxiety and depression and want to improve your concentration and well-being from the comfort of your home, we recommend our computer exercise study. More »
  • Circuit Mapping: The Etkin Lab is currently recruiting participants for a new study that relates trauma history to a variety of brain measures. Our goal is to discover relationships between brain measures, life experience, and potential symptoms of anxiety or depression. We are currently recruiting people with or without significant mood symptoms to participate.

The first step to participate in any of our studies is to complete a confidential eligibility screen. Follow the Participate Now button below to begin.

After the eligibility screen, you will be contacted by our lab.
